General Rules and Behavior

The Golden Rule

Any action or behavior that causes significant interference with convention operations, excessive discomfort to other attendees, or adversely affects Anthros & Alpine’s relationship with its guests, its venues, or the public is strictly forbidden and may result in removal from premises and a potential ban.

Hotel in General

  • Reckless or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
  • Clean off your shoes after entering from outside, and do not wear outdoor shoes in bedrooms or living rooms.
  • Stickers may only be placed on designated surfaces. Permanent damage to the venue may incur financial repercussions.
  • Commercial activities are not permitted at the venue.

Registration

  • You MUST be at least 18 years old when attending Anthros & Alpine.
  • Anthros & Alpine requires a convention ticket to attend unless specifically approved by the board.
  • You are not allowed to assist someone else who does not have a valid registration to attend Anthros & Alpine.

General Behavior

  • Treat others with respect.
  • Always ensure you have consent for your behavior.
  • You are personally responsible for your own actions and liable for any damage you may have caused to other persons or property. Anthros & Alpine, its insurance partner, and the venue reserve the right to claim financial compensation for any damages.
  • You are expected to follow Norwegian laws, the rules set by the premises, and Anthros & Alpine’s Code of Conduct.
  • Public display of adult-themed materials and activities is not permitted.
  • Remember limitations that fursuiters have in perception and mobility and treat them with care.
  • Activities that may adversely affect bystanders or property, like mock fights, are not allowed without explicit permission from the head of security (medicurity).

Photography and Video

  • Do not photograph or record anyone in situations where privacy is expected, including interventions by convention security or first responders.
  • Respect others’ preferences. If someone doesn’t want to be photographed or filmed, do not do so.
  • Attendees may use their photos/videos in personal social media channels with permission from those visible in the content.
  • Commercial use of photos/videos requires written permission in the form of media accreditation by the Anthros & Alpine board.
  • Restrictions may apply to specific events or areas.

Pets and Animals

Only licensed service animals are permitted in the convention space and must be approved by both Anthros & Alpine and the hotel well in advance. Please email [email protected] prior to the event.

Conduct and Security Policies

Hate Speech, Harassment, and Discrimination

  • Any speech or text that encourages or supports discrimination, violence, or harassment based on race, sexual orientation, gender, age, religion, nationality, or medical conditions is not allowed.
  • Symbols that support or encourage hateful movements or organizations are not allowed.

Weapons, Look-Alikes, and Dangerous Items

  • Follow Norwegian laws regarding weapons or look-alike weapons in public spaces.
  • All weapons, look-alikes, tools, and toys must be approved by convention security (medicurity).
  • The head of security (medicurity) has the final decision on any item.

Substance Policies

Alcohol Policy

  • Alcohol above 60% ABV (120 proof) is not permitted by Norwegian law.
  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages within the hotel area is permitted only if purchased from the licensed bar & restaurant operating within the hotel.
  • Due to Norwegian law, you may NOT consume alcoholic beverages in public areas, such as streets, parks, or beaches.

Drug Policy

Never share and/or distribute any personal medical drugs.

The possession, consumption, or sale of illegal substances as per Norwegian law will not be tolerated. The same applies to the abuse of any other substances.

Smoking Policy

  • Smoking or vaping is only allowed in outdoor areas.
  • Smoking or vaping indoors is strictly prohibited.

Appearance, Fursuiting and Well-Being

Clothing/Attire

  • Security staff have the final say on what constitutes permitted attire.
  • Leashes are strictly prohibited.
  • Nudity or excessively revealing clothing is not allowed in public spaces.
  • Full body harnesses are only allowed to be worn while fursuiting.
  • Exposure of apparel that can be classified as “fetish gear” is not permitted in public.
  • No body paint is allowed except for smear-safe makeup.

Fursuiting

  • Your health always comes first. Be wary of cold outdoor temperatures when fursuiting outdoors or cooling off.
  • If there is a risk of a medical emergency, remove your fursuit head immediately and contact the nearest security (medicurity) staff. Note that first responders may cut your clothing or fursuit in an emergency.
  • You are responsible for your own fursuit at all times.

Activities and Well-Being

  • Wear appropriate winter gear while venturing outside.
  • Be responsible for your health and well-being, especially during outdoor activities like skiing.
  • Participants in skiing must be familiar with Norefjell’s safety rules.
  • Anthros & Alpine is only responsible for activities within the venue.
